Have you guys seen Gene Simmons reality show. His has two teen kids, a girl and a boy, and they took a trip to Mexico. They wanted to vacation without their parents; but Gene found out that the kids had gone to Mexico by themselves and he got upset and booked a flight to Mexico to be with his kids. They called their mom and told her that Gene was there and asked her why did she tell him where they were. She denied telling him and told them that she would fix it. How did she fix it? She caught a plane and went down to Mexico to join them. The kids were miserable because their parent wanted them to do everything together and the kids had their own plans. They did everything they could to get rid of their parents but couldn't. So, they told their parents that they were divorcing them and they had to leave Mexico because they were not welcome their any longer. To make a longer story short, they had to call their parents back from the airport because they ran out of money.

Gustav
I am so tired of hearing about Gustav. After Katrina, I just can't take listening about storms anymore. The idea that my home is going to be destroyed again is more than I can bare at this time in my life. I feel as if I am waiting to be taken to the gallows. God help me; I don't know how much of my studying is sticking. I am depressed.

Hangin With my Bro
So, since my brother came in town. We are going to go hang out with some of our friends since he won't get to see them until he comes back in town. I hope everyone and their family has a safe a fun night. We will probably end up playing pool or something. I'm not very good at pool but I love to play.
SURPRISE!!!!
MY BROTHER CAME HOME TODAY LIKE 20 MINUTES AGO AND SURPRISED US. I was soooo excited I haven't seen him since like the beginning of July, and i didn't think I was going to see him until my birthday weekend two weeks away. I guess I am done studying for the day! Gotta spend time with my brother!!!!!!!!

Las Vegas
So, my brother and I and our family are talking about going to Las Vegas this Winter break. Mainly because I turn 21 in two weeks so I can actually go now, and they have all been waiting on me to turn 21 so that we can all go and now I will finally be able to go. If anyone has been to Las Vegas and can give me places to go or see, let me know.
Grandma
Well It looks like they will be keeping Ma'mo in the hospital for a while. She's dehydrated and she had very very very low blood pressure. Which would explain why I could not find a pulse on her anywhere. Actually the only way I knew she was still alive was cause I could hear a slight wezz when she exhaled. I'm still waiting for more updates. My uncle and his wife switch places with me at the hospital and I think my other aunt should be there By now. I don't see any use in every body trying to be there so I'm just going to wait at home for now
Worn out
Rain...
Hey Everyone!
Hey everyone! So, I didn't have time to get on here and post yesterday because I was extremely busy. I studied for most of the day. But then I also had to go out to eat with my parents for their anniversary. They have been married for 25 years. And then the other part I was shopping with my mom because she wanted to go shopping before everyone else got out their and took everything because of the storm. Well, I guess I better go back to studying.

Gustav
This hurricane is about to cause its first casualty. First of all, I didn't even know there was a storm brewing until my dad called me at 8am and woke me out of my beautiful slumber to Inform me that he was on his way to Louisiana to get my grandparents (one of them very sick) because none of his siblings who live there want to take responsibility and evacuate them. Not his exact words but I drew this conclusion from other things said and done through out today. Then my dad has my runnin around crazy picking up his dry cleaning and looking for a mattress pad that he wants to pay the price for. Did you know it was like 150 degrees to day
And since 5 pm I'm be listening to "come on come on, Mama You've got to lift your self. your not even trying come on, come pick your self up. You got to lift. use your ares your not even trying. Come on come on. she just wont do it" just imagine listening to that in 45 minute intervals every hour.
Finally they took my advise as to the fact that she does not have the strength to lift up to the bed. Ya'll obviously can't life her. How about we get one of those air mattresses that ya'll had me blow up for the others who decided to leave Louisiana at 9 freakin PM at night. And just let her use that.
So yeah then my dad get's the bright Idea to move the dinning room table and put it under the low low low handing light. After I kissed Mo ma good night I stood up and cracked my head open.
So yeah now I think I have a concussion. I'm afraid to go to sleep and the muscle relaxer I took early for my other preexisting neck issue are doing absolutely nothing for nothing
Oh yes and I'm suppose to wait up for the family who didn't want to evacuate my grandparents in the first place. They should get here around 3 or 4. Looks like someones gonna be sleeping in there car.....I am NOT a happy camper today people
.....I know relax...Breath...3.....2.....1....
Stressed
I am really stressed, between the test on Friday and the hurricane in the Gulf, I am making myself sick. I have family who live on the west bank of New Orleans who has not gotten out of town and now the traffic is horrible and they will be sitting for hours. They may not get out of town until some time tomorrow afternoon; the traffic is just not moving. My youngest sister's husband is a captain on the police force and they used her home as a safe haven for Katrina and Rita, and they are going to do the same for Gustav. So she wanted to make sure that the policemen have provisions, bless her heart. She still needs to get my two nephews and herself out of town. Her husband is going to be fine.I just heard that they are going to leave at 2 in the morning. Good.
Taking mom's advice
So I think I'm going to have to take my mom's advice. She Said, "Ashleigh, You just can't be nice to every one. Sometimes you got to act crazy with crazy, you got to be stupid to stupid, and you got to be a B!t@h to a B!t@h." My way of being sweet and loving to everybody just don't work. Not every one speaks that language.
SHOT OUTS!!!!!
Cat 4
This hurricane is not playing around. In just a short time this thing has went from a cat 3 to a cat 4 and the tracks have it going straight up the mouth of the Mississippi; this means that New Orleans will be more devastated than before. If this storm hit the city as a cat 5, it will make Katrina look like a drizzle. With this storm, there are parts on the out skirts of New Orleans that will no longer exist. One of those towns will be a small town on the west bank of New Orleans where I grew-up, Barataria, not to mention Grand Isle.
Micro Lab 1
Several Years ago when I worked at Tower Records In Boston. There was this woman who hung around and in the store. She wore black leather gloves even during summer months and refused to touch anything even with gloves. I use to think she was odd and truthfully I still feel she has several odd characteristics, but after doing the first Micro Lab on germs and hand washing I want to get my own set of stylish Black Leather Gloves. I think I'm a little traumatized, I'm now seeing bacteria, viruses, and parasites everywhere.
Hurricane's a comin!!
Can you believe that Gustav rose to a cat 3 overnight. That is so scary. It's only moving 14 mph and it has not even gotten to the warmest part of the Gulf of Mexico yet :~O Yesterday they showed the temperature of the water in the center portion of the Gulf and right under New Orleans is were the the water was the warmest (86 degrees). The officials say that they have their act together; I hope they do.
Hard time getting on

Suprised!
I am actually really suprised on how busy I have been staying even though I don't have a job anymore and all I do is go to school and study anymore. Studying and getting organized to study, and doing everything else I have to do has kept me really busy so far. It's not too busy where I can't go do anything, like shopping, but it's busy enough to were I don't get bored.
Studying!!!
I have been studying like all day ever since I got home from buying my birthday outfit. Now my brain is hurting a lot, so thats why I have decided to get on her and blog a little bit so that I can give my brain a rest. I'm a little scared of the first nursing test, not because I think it will be hard, but just because I don't know what to expect.

Worry Wort
Hey guys,I am trying to study for my first nursing test on Friday, but I am finding it hard to stay focus and concentrate. I am worried about my home in New Orleans. We have invested $65,000 of our own monies to get as much work as possible done on the house and was just about finished and now we have to worry about losing everything again.
The only good thing that's is coming out of this storm is that my husband is home and will be here for a while. As far as the business that we have in New Orleans, {??}. I wish everyone in New Orleans and surrounding parishes (counties), Good Luck. I hope all your family and friends stay safe.
Birthday Outfit
So I just got home from buying my birthday outfit. I am sooo excited about my birthday and it is only get closer. YEAH! I guess everyone looks forward to their 21st birthday. My birthday outfit is actually really cute. I still have to go buy a dress for my birthday because my parents want to take me out to eat for my birthday. I'll probably do that next weekend though.
Sleeping In!
Wow it felt good to not have to wait up to an alarm clock this morning at like 6:30am. I actually got to sleep until I just woke up on my own. I know its like 9:00am but that still a lot better than have to wake up at 6:30am and heading right off to classes. Instead I got to wake up on my own and get dressed and then go shopping, I have to find an outfit for my birthday. Hope everyone has a good Friday!

No break!
So I have been at school all day, doing school work of course. And then when I came home the first thing I did was start doing homework (the math problems for test 1). I should have taken a break and done something fun, like working out or watching tv for a little bit, or something because now I feel like my brain is fried. So that's what I'm doing right now, I'm gonna watch tv for about an hour and then get back to school work. I never realized that I would actually have to plan time to have fun, that there just wouldn't be any work for me to do for the next day or week.
Garron
I don't think I have told you all about Garron yet! He is wonderful adorable dog. I got him last year for my birthday and it was like my best birthday ever! We adopted him, so that he wouldn't have to be without a family anymore. He had a brother also, but my parents wouldn't let me have both so..... my godparents adopted his brother Gunner. They have play dates all the time. I'll have to get a picture of him and post it on here so yall can see but I dont have any pictures of him on this computer.
Crazy!
Wow! All of us where running around and freaking out today because of the lab we did today. At first we didn't think we would get checked off so we where all fine, but then we find out we are getting checked off and start freaking out. Even though we did get checked off it wasn't that bad because the teachers showed or talked us through it. I think they where just helping to be nice this time, so from now on we all have to make sure we are VERY prepared before lab.
New Pic
The beauty of the campus
This campus, Lone Star College-North Harris, is one of the best college I have seen. Ever since I have my first tour here in this campus I fell in love with the environment and how well cared for the campus is.In my opinion, North Harris is growing and we are getting bigger, as well as, the new cafeteria we are having done in late Fall 08.
In addition to the beauty this campus holds is also a good place to start something in life you know what they said WE OPEN DOORS!
One more hour for my next class!
So I'm still here and its cold as usual, yet I'm doing just fine. Counting down the time for my next class, I have started to get a feeling of boredom and hunger.(lol) Karen abandoned me(lol j/k) she took somewhere. LOLAnd now im bored. I was told to wait for Cherie and she has not showed up yet. URGH!!!. Ihave a full hour to just sit here and do nothing. LOL.
Chilling With Karen.
So I just got out from my class, and I came here to say hi and come to find out that Karen was making fliers.(the flier's have one of this as a gift... wat a deal..)
Science we haven't talked in a long time we are just being silly and what not.( you know what i mean, we all have lots of fun around good friends)
P.S. nice pic Cherie good close up. Mr. DeMille....(ROTFLOL)
Physical check off
A physical check off is when a nurse asses a patient from head to toe making sure that that patient is in good health or if that patient need to be concern about something. You asses eyes, nose, mouth (inside and outside). You listen to a patients lungs sounds, heart sounds, hearing and stomach sounds. It just a little more involved than what you get when you go to the doctors office for a physical check-up.
First HSO Officer meeting
Today is the first HSO officer meeting for the 2008-2009 year. I am excited! I get to see people that I have not seen too much of over the summer. We get to plan our yearly events and talk about the new contracts some of us are going to undertake this semester. I hope there is food there, I am hungry and the lines for food on this campus is to longgggggggg. There will be two HSO meeting Wednesday and Thursday of next week, so those of you interested in doing honors keep reading I will post time and room number later.
Hello EverybodEEEEE!
We did "check offs" today in nursing lab and let me tell you it went well. I pumped myself up for this huge frightening thing but it wasn't so bad. It's still a lot to comprehend but the nursing faculty is great as far as helping you through it. They know that we are first time nursing student and "green" under the collar. So, they do take time a explain things to you. So don't get upset when they ask you questions and it seem that they are picking on you; it is all about learning, applying, and remembering. So, those who have yet to be "checked off", relax, if you did your reading and the assignments, you will do fine :0)
Good Morning STARS
It felt really good waking up this morning I actually got like 9 hours of sleep since I actually went to bed at like a decent hour last night instead of staying up really late doing homework for nursing. It will probably be one of the only times I actually get to bed at a decent hour while in school for the next two years. I probably should have stayed up and did some homework, but I was exhausted from staying up extremely late from the night before, and sometimes all it takes to feel better is getting a good nights rest.

So Glad
I can not express how happy I am to be back in a long semester. I feel like I can breath and actually absorb a tiny bit of knowledge before I have to spit It back out. Unlike summer where your regurgitating it before it's been fully chewed.Any Who I think I messed Up by taking 3 subject that I LOVE together. (Med. Micro, A&PII, and Phil). I originally thought that it would be a nice mix and it is, But I should have saved something fun to take with the subjects a loath (Statics, Chem., and Gov.) Eeeeeouch Help!
So Semester Goals other than making great grades(A's) and enjoying every moment of every day. I would like to complete with my summer goal and work toward becoming as fluent as possible in my Semi-Native Language , French.
So my steps toward that goal:
I will join in conversation with French speaking family and friends
I will actively seek out other French speakers.
I will make every effort to go to the French meet Ups on Wednesday's
Each day I will practice if only for a few minutes.
So If anyone would like so support me in any of these Goals Let me know. And Please let me know if there are any goal's I can support you in.
Lets have a GREAT Fall Semester
A tout a l'heure
Good Night
I am sooo tired, I think I might actually go to bed before midnight tonight in like a week in a half. I really need to catch up on some sleep so that I am not falling asleep in class. Plus ever since I got my bed I haven't actually got to enjoy it as much as I would have liked so I think I'm gonna go to sleep. I hope.
Something fun to do...
So, now that all I have to do is go to school and do school work all the time I had to find something for me to do that would entertain me so that I wouldn't only do stuff for school all the time and go shopping and spend money. So, I started drawing and I actually like some of the stuff I have drawn. They aren't like spectacular or anything but I like them.
First Lab
Time for Class
HEY EVERYONE!
Good Morning North Harris!!!!
I am scared this morning because I have to do a "physical" check off this morning and I don't know what I am doing. I read the material but it didn't help me as far as hands on. I hope they demonstrate before making us do it. I went online to see if I could find something on You Tube, but no luck. Well, wish me luck.

Yeah....
Labor Day
Day Two
:O(
Ridiculous!!
OMG, Get A GRIP!!
This is your first time dropping a class, you will get over it, trust me. You are in nursing now and that should be the only thing that matters. It's not the end of the world you will be alright. You dropped it for a good cause, NURSING.You can cry on my shoulders if that will make you feel better :o)
First Time..
So today was the first time that I have ever dropped a class. I am actually really disappointed in myself for dropping it, but with all the stuff that we have to do for lab, clinical, and all the other nursing stuff it is going to be a lot of work. Even though I am disappointed in myself I still think I made the right decision, and my parents thought it was a good idea to so I guess I'll be ok.
Another One down
First Day
So yesterday was the first day of school and I dont know about yall but my day was very long. But I had a lot of fun. I finally got a chance to meet my clinical instructor and she seems like she is very nice and going to be very helpful if we need her help. We are actually going to start clinical at 6:30 instead of 7 and hopefully get done with our clinical hours early. We also did math problems yesterday, and I am very excited to say that I got all of them right, I was so excited! Anywayz, I gotta go get ready for the second day.

Had fun
Day One
Day One
Hi guys,Day one is over and what a day!!! A lot of information to grasp and understand. Keeping up with assignments and everyday life is going to be one experience. I knew that my entire life was going to change, but I didn't realize the magnitude of the change. Clinical starts at 6:30 a.m. till 5:00 p.m., long day. I didn't do bad on the math problems that we were given. Math frightens me because it's a subject that I don't feel that I am good at. I like it, but it doesn't sometimes like me. LOL Out of 25 questions I only two I missed up on. One problem I forgot a step and the other problem I was off by a fraction of a point. Which is still not good for nursing students because such an mistake can harm a patient. I'll get it right the next time.
I hope everyone else had a good "first day". Blog about it and let me know how your day was.
The First Day.
As I look upon this new school year, thoughts tackle my mind as to what may I expect. All I know is that everything is what you make of it. College can be very challenging, Billie Holiday said it best, God bless the child that got it's own. People play a very important role in our lives, they are the ones who can make us or break us, so it's very important we choose the right people to be around. As life presents a new form of adversity. We have to be carefull on the decsion's we make.

School
Books
There are a lot of books for nursing school, and most of them are also really heavy. We have to take like six books to school for the first three weeks, which means a lot of reading and studying, yeah! So in order for me to not hurt my back I got a rolley backpack, and I thought it was going to be really ugly but it is actually kinda cute and very very helpful.
New Bed
So I love my new bed. My parents decided to get me the new bed just in time because nursing school is starting and I am going to need something to help me relax and my bed is EXTREMELY soft so it will definitely help me to relax. Its also bigger then my old one so now I can cram even more books and notes and stuff on my bed while I study. The only problem is that I might fall asleep while studying now....
EXCITED!I
Fall 2008
Good Morning Everyone! So tomorrow school starts, is anyone else as excited as I am? lol Well I am kind of excited to see what is all in store for me, and if I am really not going to have a life besides nursing like everyone has told me it will be. I have already gotten my school stuff ready for school tomorrow so that I dont have to worry about it today. All I have to do today is relax and re-read over the chapters that they gave us for Tuesday. Well, gotta go get dressed, ttyl

Bored At IHOP...
My Aggie
My Aggie is my cat and my shadow. She has to be in every room that I am in. She's the first to come running down the stairs to greet me when I've been gone from home too long. She is truly on one person's cat. She doesn't mind when I fuss at her for doing something wrong, she still comes to me purring. She is a rescue cat and a long hair Calico. As much as I love her, she drives me crazy with the grooming. How many time a day does a cat have to groom? I brush her on a regular basis but that doesn't seem to help. She will lick herself right after I finish grooming her. The last time I took her to the groomers, I had them shave her stomach (this is the place she licks more than anywhere else), it didn't help. Sometimes when I am studying I have to put her out my room because I can't concentrate. I guess like any child, she can be a pain, but I love her.
It's almost here.
Fall 2008 is here so soon. I don't know if I am ready for this semester. I a little scared of what lies ahead. I know I will do fine, I always do, but that fear is there. We already have so much work to do by Monday and I am having a hard time getting organized. I just have to get focused and stay that way. God has seen me this far, so I know He will see my the rest of the way.
Taking a break
I back in taking a break from registration. Things have really slowed down from this morning. There is only one ambassador and myself out in the ACD hallway helping people. The phones in the office has been ringing with students who have questions about payments, registration, dropped classes, etc.....It's not as bad as I thought it would be. Everybody seems to know what to do and where to go. You know you always have a few that lingers and look lost. I am really having fun helping people with there registration. I hope that everyone else is having as much fun as I am :o) I Ho, I Ho, back to work I go. LOL
Watch what you ask for, you just may get it.
Okay, I know those of you who have read my posting on New Orleans, may be saying they got what they voted for, which is true. The population of New Orleans before Katrina was made up of majority "BLACK" people. Most of these people have never lived outside of that city, so all they knew of what was "right" and "wrong" or "good" and "bad" for the city was what they are told by the politician that tickled there ears by telling them what they wanted to hear. Sad to say, most of those people were uneducated and a lot of them didn't know how to read or didn't read well enough to understand what they were reading. New Orleans has it's own unique way of doing things and the majority accepted how things were done.
In New Orleans you will find an attitude that is referred to as the "old slave" mentally ( a feeling of being suppressed by white people and that they are not to be trusted) there and Mr. Nagin played, no, banked on that being the case. How did he accomplish that, you may ask? With his "Chocolate City" comments, his "They are not like us" comments, "They are trying to take over our city". Come on, we know who "They" are. To add insult to injury, Mr. Nagin was over heard by a African American lawyer, making negative comments about the very same people that put him into office, the "Black" people, at a prestigious lunching that was made up of majority Caucasians. Is Mr. Nagin good for the city of New Orleans, in my opinion, NO! He causes division between the races with his comments and New Orleans don't need the division if it's going to repair and grow. New Orleans needs all of it's residence working together to better the city and build a future for the young ones coming up.
Idiots get awards too!!!!!!
I was on the phone yesterday with my husband and he told me that the mayor of New Orleans was getting an award for the good job he has done since Katrina. Have you guys seen pictures of New Orleans lately? Well, let me tell you, you haven't missed much. Except for the French Quarter, St Charles street and a few other prestigious places, it look just about the same. Most of the debris is gone but entire neighborhood are also still gone.New Orleans is truly the murder capital of the world. The differences in the reporting of crime between the police department and the news media is staggering. Rumor has it that the murder rate is so bad there, that the mayor office is telling police chief Riley to fix the numbers on the crime report before it is released. Is there any solution for the poor people of New Orleans?
So, hats off to those idiots that are giving that idiot an award!!!!!

House Bunny!
I don't know if anyone planned on watching House Bunny but it was HILARIOUS. I was laughing a lot through out the entire movie. I didn't think a lot of people would want to go see it and we got to the movie a little after it started, and the entire theater was pretty much packed. We had to sit up at the very front of the theater, which hurt my eyes and neck. I really think everyone should go see it, and if you do go see it make sure you get there early because you will need to in order to get a good seat.
IT WAS AWESOME!!!!
Chipotle
I have never eaten at Chipotle before but I have tons of friends that say Chipotle is like an awesome place to eat, one said she ate there everday for like four days straight. One of them actually talked me into going there today. I hope the food is as good as everyone says it is. Does anyone know of it, and if yes do ya'll like it? I'll let you all know what I think of it today after I get back but I thought I would get some feedback before I go to see what other people thought of it.
Nursing
I was looking at Vista yesterday and if you are a nursing student we already have a lot of reading and other stuff to do for the first two days of class. We also have a lot to do for the entire week. I guess our summers are officially over and its time to start Nursing School. I'm excited and scared at the same time, but we can do it as long as we work really hard. I guess nursing school is our lives from now on.
Finishing my hours
Hey guys! I'm gonna finish my hours today for the Summer 08. I've had a lot of fun so far, and can't wait to see what events we do in the Fall 08 for STARS. I'm sure you all will be hearing from me throughout the day. I'm going to help out in the Academic Hallway the best I can, doing whatever they tell me to.

Last Post
Well I am officially done with my STAR hours, and I am just really thankful that I got to participate in this program. I had a great time, and I wish nothing but the best to this helpful and wonderful program.
UH
Well today I went to UH again and I did a little tour on my own around campus. WOW is just so huge and pretty that I am just really excited to start school in the fall. I just hope that I do really good and I pass my classes because I want to finish my career goals so bad!! I am even thinking what I am going to eat the first day of school....just so many choices and the campus is just so big that I love it. Coming from North Harris to UH I feel like a small country girl going to the big city for the very first time....I just really like it!!
NEW POLL YAY!
I love polls...Makes me excied to see what people think. So yea...the cafeteria doesn't seem like it will be done by Monday. =(
Imagine all those students at 12 pm gathered at the coffee shop...WHOA! O.O Even in my head, it is too crowded. Well as soon as the Cafeteria is openmany people will forget the wait! I bet it will be...what's that word?...AWESOME!!! Yep, well I feel that people will enjoy eating there more than any other time, at least those who have been in the old cafeteria.
I AM ANXIOUS!!! I want to be an Architect, which basically means I am more than anxious and excited than most students! Let's see what will happen this fall...
Keep them in your prayers
Cupcakes
So they cupcakes are green, again, but this time they have red and yellow frosting. Shes gotta a little more creative too, she put m&ms and hersheys kisses on top of them to so that they look "prettier." It was very messy again also, I got frosting in my hair because she accidentally hit me with the cupcake. I turned and she turned and the cupcake she had in her hand got icing in my hair, so we just ate that one before anyone got home. Anywayz, gotta go finish baby sitting be back later.
Movie Review
So Tropic Thunder was really good. I was laughing a lot. If you haven't seen it you should go see it, I think it was hilarious. Now I am going to make cupcakes with a three year old. Last time we made cupcakes there was a big mess because she likes to help as much as she can, and the cupcakes where green with purple frosting. Lets see how they look this time....

Project Runway
I love Project Runway!! Is just a very good show!! The fashion, the drama, the creativity just about everything in that show is fantastic !!Changing subject...I am starting school this Monday and I am very nervous...but at the same time very excited. I have chosen two classes in Political Science and two classes in History. I need to go UH tomorrow so I can buy my books and finally set in my head that summer is over and school is beginning.
Housing
I was just checking out the housing in UH and I thought that they were pretty good. I am seriously thinking about actually staying over there. They are more than 4 complex buildings in which I can decide to stay in campus or I can get an apartment near, I am still not sure but I am very interested in finding out more about housing in UH.
Tapping into a Brighter future
So. I'm really into holistic healing and I'm all ways looking for new natural remedies for what ever and everything. A few weeks ago a very good like minded friend of mine turned me on to something called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).Basically it is a psycho therapeutic tool based on a theory that negative emotions are caused by disturbances in the body's energy fiend and that tapping on the meridians while thinking of a negative emotion alters the body's energy field, restoring it to "balance."
When my friend told me about this I was going thought extreme pain and had been for the last 6 months. The main would get worse thought out the day and by bed time I was ready to go to the hospital. Keep in mind this is every day for months and no doctor could tell me what was wrong or give me anything for it.
So I found someone who did a free tapping session with me over the Phone and she put me in the Direction of learning to do it my self. She said she charged like 200$ Plus dollars for an hours session over the phone but this is something that I could learn and do for my self for free.
Something amazing happened during our session. My pain stopped. I thought it was a coincidence but I realized today after a trip to the rheumatologist my pain has not returned.
I found that this works on just about anything you can imagine. So I've been tapping away.
If your interested
This website has all the info about Emotional Freedom Technique, and has lots of articles and a manual to download

More about University of Houston
I am going to UH tomorrow because I need to buy my books, and I need to talk to my Spanish adviser so I can start taking Spanish classes. I just cant believe that summer is about to be over and fall is about to begin. I want it to start, but at the same time I wish time could just freeze.
There are a lot of things I am going to missed from summer like sleeping late, waking up late, having the beautiful feeling of knowing that one doesn't need to do anything. The relief of not having stress from reading or research papers!!! I guess I cant do anything about time or what is about to come.
One just needs to go with the flow and relax.

Thief in the night
As you all know by now, tomorrow is my daughter's birthday; her dad is giving her a new computer. Well, tonight I am suppose to set it up while she is sleeping but there's one problem. She's like her dad, "a night hawk". I usually go to be early when I don't have any school work to do but now I have to try and stay up until she falls a sleep to put up the computer. I have everything sitting in my car waiting. If he was here it would be no problem, like I said, he is also a "night hawk", but he could make it home for the weekend due to buisness obligations. This is the first time since she was born he had to missed her birthday or her first day of school. THANKS KATRINA!! Anyway, now it my job to make sure everything is set up the way he wants it. This is going to be fun, trying to stay up longer than her.
I think she already thinks that I am up to something because she keeps asking me to tell her something (meaning that I know something that she doesn't know, but want to know). I told her that all her gifts are going to be mailed to her. Well wish me luck that when I do get started in hooking everything up, I don't wake her and she finds out early.
My spell check has stop working, so forgive any miss spelled words :D
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGELIQUE (aka, Angie)
Sooooooo Tired
Volleyball
So tonight we are going to play volleyball at my friends house. I am soooo excited I used to play volleyball like everyday but I quit for some reason and I dont know why. I know its dark outside but my friend has a volleyball court by her house and it has a light that will lighten up the entire court so that all of us can play.
Tonight!
I have been lazy all day. I sat around and did absolutely nothing all day because its what I felt like doing. So tonight I think I'm gonna go hang out at a friends house before she leaves to go back to school in Louisiana. We will probably be lazy, but at least this time I will have someone to talk to besides my dog. Will probably end up inviting more people over just for a good-bye night.
Registering
Wow can you believe I just finished registering for classes. It's a pity to know there weren’t many choices left. I guess I learned my lesson this time. This leaves me to wonder how many people are struggling at the moment. It was a good thing I got good times. As we all know by now, the process of registering online is slow because so many people are trying to do things the last minute. I also want to let people know how important it is to do things on time. This has been told over and over again, but seriously, I will try to be early. I remember this one saying in a JROTC camp I went to..."If you are on time, you are late!" How true can that be!?
Established Laziness
Ahhh, I don't wanna get up. My laptop is so hard to use because you have to push so many letters. Uhhh. I have been home, lazy, since Friday morning and I have not done anything ever since. I have gotten so lazy that I have not even blogged about the movie of the week. And all I have been doing is watching movies and playing GTA San Andreas, fueling up my violent imagination. I have no life. Then this morning at exactly 10:45am on Aug. 20th, 2008 I decided to change my entire schedule. Now my schedule is changed and I also applied to volunteer at the Northwest Medical Center on 1960. I had some minutes done from a meeting I attended three months ago and I am posting a new blog. But still guys, I mean you have to understand that it is a week off for me and the rain, yes, the rain is falling and it sounds so beautiful in my foiled up window dark room with the tempurpetic sleep set and the AC blowing cold under the covers all warmed up and comfy. Ummm, I go night night now. Muah! bye bye. What to do...
Since I didn't go to the zoo today I slept all day until like 1:30pm and now I have absolutely nothing to do. I was thinking about going to shopping but then I would spend WAY to much money then I really need to and that would not be good. Then I was gonna start reading some of my nursing books but I decided to wait until at least tomorrow because I want to take one day off to do nothing except fun stuff, butI cant think of anything to do. I'm gonna go try to find something good on TV to watch. Hope to see some of you later at CWW tonight.
No Zoo For me Today
Finishing Up
ZOO!
So me and my like bestest friend are going to the zoo today, her name is Arwen and shes 3 years old and everyone says shes my best friend because she always wants to hang out with me and acts just like me so I have to watch what I do and say around her. But I hope it doesn't rain today like it is suppose to because that would really put a damper on how much fun we will have at the zoo. I'll let y'all know how much FUN we had.

Family Guy
Tonight's results!
Hi Guys,I actually didn't do bad tonight. I managed to get through the night and did okay on the math. I did win a tee shirt and a clip board ( the clip board was actually a give away). Tomorrow is the last night of CWW and it's fun night. We get to bring our family with us to school. I hope that they are giving away more prizes because I would like to win one of the books. So, now I will try to get a good nights sleep. So good night.
Ten good things about North Harris
Okay so is 9:53 and I have no clue what to write about. Well I know I am supposed to talk about school so here it goes:
North Harris is a very good school because:
-is affordable
-has great professors
-certainly prepares students to face a four year school
-very easy to transfer and get a lot of credits accepted to a four year university
-gives the student the opportunity to know themselves better thus find out what they want out of life
- gives the student the privilege to save a lot of money in tuition and the many fees that a four year university charges
-it offers smaller classrooms and the professors give more one-one time to students
- it offers a very good quality of education for a very reasonable price
-it offers many short careers that are in high demand
-is very understanding of modern students who need to work, take care of a family, and go to school at the same time

Taboo

There's a very nice show called Taboo. I really like it because is so weird and so interesting. There was one episode that I really liked and it was about food of every country. In the US we only eat chicken, beef, and fish but in other countries people eat some unconventional things like alligator, bugs, worms and live octopus! I just like it a lot...their new episode coming out this weekend is going to be about some extremities that people do in order to remain healthy like it shows a guy who eats earwax because he believes it will prevent him from getting diabetes!! or like there's a guy who drinks his own pee because it makes him feel healthier!!! There was once an episode about death and how everybody especially in America keep that topic away from conversations. Death is a big taboo and everybody acts or wants to act like it doesn't exist. Anyways I really like this show and I definitely recommend it.
August 19

So today I went to University of Houston (UH) and finally I found out about my financial aid and I am very happy because there is no problem and I am getting financial aid after all. Well I am just relief and I got my book vouchers so I think tomorrow I am heading to UH again to buy my books. Wow I just cant believe that summer is about to be over! I am nervous and excited about my new start in UH. I really starting to hate the rain .... is just been raining all day and yesterday and well the whole weekend. I saw the news and I guess we have more rain heading our way until next week even...I like the rain but sometimes enough is enough!! okay so I woke up very early to go to school...I guess that is why my head hurts! I am just been getting sick all this week and last week!!
I need to get better by next week mainly because school starts and I don't want to be sick .
I need to get better by next week mainly because school starts and I don't want to be sick .
SCRUBS
Does anyone else like Scrubs as much as I do? I swear I watch it everyday when I get home and it doesn't go off until I go to sleep. I have watched all six seasons like twelve times, I have the seasons on DVD. When one of my friends comes over it is always on and sometimes its also on when I leave my house, and then its on when I get home. I think I might be watching it to much, but I'm just getting ready for season 7 to come out on DVD because I have not seen it at all yet because I didnt want to miss anything and I started the season late.
CWW Day 2
Today camp wanna win was math night and critical thinking. I love nights like this because I always feel like I learn a lot from the other nursing students because they give you good ways to think of things and the guy that did my group for the math portion gave us cool and easy ways to remember the conversions for some of the math stuff.
Ripping and Running
Flyers!
I wanted to take a break away from making phone calls so I decided to just fold flyer's all day and I have been here since noon. I definitely think we have enough flyer's for a while. My fingers are extremely numb. There is a whole box of folded flyer's filled up almost all the way to the top of the box. The desk that I was working at was full of flyer's and I could barely see the desk, but I am ready to make phone calls again.
Almost Done With My Hours
I'm almost done with my STARS hours. After today I only have like seven hours left and I will hopefully get that done by Saturday. I'm so excited. I would be done after today if i wasn't sick last Saturday and went to the event at the Greenspoint mall. But oh well. I'll get them done and have fun while I'm doing it. Well, everyone have a good day and I'm sure you all will be hearing from me some more today.
THE HILLS
I don't know if anyone watches The Hills, or if anyone watched Laguna Beach, but last night was the Season Premiere of The Hills, for the fourth season. I absolutely love The Hills, I put the season premiere in my planner and set a reminder on my phone. I know I'm a loser, but I really love The Hills. I want to see if Heidi and Spencer stay together and if Lauren and Heidi finally become friends again, I'm sure I'll keep you all informed.
Not So Good Last Night
So last night I didn't do so good in poker, I actually lost like 20 bucks, but the funny part is that I was playing with my boyfriends money and he won 30 bucks so I guess the money that I lost he won, so I guess we came out $10 ahead. Anywyaz, I told you all I would let you know how it went. I gotta get dressed to go to some more STARS hours, almost done, see yall in a little bit.
Camp Wanna Win
I went to "Camp Wanna Win" last night and it was nice. For those of you who don't know what it is; "Camp Wanna Win" is a two hour, three night seminar were new nursing student learn how to cope with becoming nursing students. We learn about what's expected of us as far as our dress, attitude, code of ethics, what material we are going to need. We also learn test taking strategies, how to do drug calculations and on the third night, we get to bring our family so they will get some hints of what to except from having new nursing students in the family. So when hubby is told to put a pizza in the oven, he won't get upset, or when mommie is going ballistic, they will know that a BIG test is only a couple of days away.Last night they did skits on the right and wrong way to treat patients. It was so funny when nurse "I got it wrong" was treating her patient. Her hair was falling into the patients face as she leaned in to take the patients vital sings, her phone rang and she begin talking on the phone while assessing her patient. The patient kept asking for a bath, but was ignored. It was just hilarious. I received two prizes last night; one for being a judge in the "America's Top Nurse" contest, and the other for my number being called. They were giving out great prizes. Students received drug books, tee shirts, ID holders, medical dictionaries, etc.... Way To Go, Camp Wanna Win!!! I can't wait to see what in stored for us to night.
Book Voucher Day
Yesterday was book voucher day, I have never seen so many people trying to figure out how to get money back from book vouchers as I seen yesterday. You would be surprised how many people who failed math all of a sudden remember how to add, subtract, and multiply. Here I am not having enough money to purchase all my books, begging financial aid to release my scholarship money so I can do so and these people are looking for ways to keep money so they can probably go shopping at the malls. Must be nice. One thing I did see that just took my heart away, was a mother who was using her voucher to not only get supplies for herself but also for her children. I guested that she didn't have the money to buy school supplies any other way. This is why I tell all you younger ones, appreciate your parents and treat them well, you don't always know what they go through or do for you.
Missed Me :)
Let's see what's first, while, I went to an event on Saturday at the Aldine Community Center which was excellent. Ernesto and I got to talk to a lot of people. Let me tell you, we have a lot of smart kids out there. One young girl I meet scored very high on her SAT and will be graduating with her AD before she is through with high school. There was this young rap group call "Half and Half", (half Spanish and half African American), they were very talented for kids of 10 years old, I had to stand up to see if Lil Romeo was in the house, ROTFL.So, good luck to all the kids and keep up the good work.

Life
I am actually thinking about how sometimes we cannot set our lives as we sometimes plan. Life loves pulling practical jokes on everybody and sometimes it makes us have some irony and problems in our lives. We plan and plan but I hate that no matter how much planning one does, life always has to throw a curb ball at us. So as I sit here thinking about the many plans I have, I will always know in the back of my mind that life is unpredictable and no one is truly prepared to life's challenges, ups and downs, and every single problem there is. Life, Life, Life why one has to plan? why one has to decide? why? why? I sometimes believe that a life in the wild away from civilization is true paradise. A life where there is no rules, no goals, no responsibilities, no restraints....well I can truly call that freedom. Life, such a funny word that describes so much, actually living in this country it makes is it so hard to not be depressed sometimes. Well all we can do is to just remain positive and to always remind ourselves that sometimes things happen for a reason. I love a saying that says "Life happens when your too busy making other plans"
Financial Aid
Poker Night
CWW
Camp Wanna Win was very informative. They gave us a lot of information, and told us a lot of things that would be very helpful during and before the starting the nursing program. It kinda scared me about the clinical logs things, but it might be hard at first but it will probably get easier as I do them.I'll keep y'all informed.
Sick
So I been feeling pretty sick today. I dont know what is going on with me but I am been sick lately. I certainly hope that I feel muh better for tomorrow. I'm going to be pretty busy tomorrow and I just know I have to feel better.
Pizza

Fall
Camp Wanna Win
Camp Wanna Win doesn't even start for another like 45 minutes and there are already people going inside the room, thats crazy! And there where people sitting outside the room at like 5:00pm waiting for someone to come and let them inside. I'm excited about camp wanna win I think we will we told and taught a lot of good information to have while in the nursing program. See everyone there that's in the nursing program!
Rainy Day
Well today and the whole weekend been raining like crazy. Is just so cloudy and a very perfect day to just fall asleep. Well today has been a pretty bust day for me, actually this whole summer has been pretty busy for me. I just cant believe that this summer is about to be over and Fall is about to begin.
UH
okay so I went to UH today and I got some things solved. I got some book loans and I finally have my class schedule done. I am still kinda nervous about going to school the 25th. I feel like a little a little girl going to school for the first time. I am excited though and I am really happy that I moving on and achieving my dreams.
2008 Olympics
I really do think I am the only one that does not watch the Olympics. I hear my friends co-workers, parents, and boyfriend talking about the Olympics all of the time, and I have no idea what they are talking about most of the time. I know what the Olympics are don't get me wrong, I just don't know who they are talking about when they say the athletes names and stuff like that. I do watch the volleyball part, because I used to play, but the rest of it I don't watch, maybe I should start.
I need anyone's help please... :-/
Someone I love with all my heart is depressed and I don't know what to do. I feel like I am helpless and anything I try and do only makes things worse. I'm trying so hard not to let this effect my life, but it is... and it's at the worst time ever (right before Nursing school starts)...I need help with how to cope with a loved one who is depressed. He is only pushing everyone further and further away and isolating himself which I don't think is helping. I need to know how to deal with his confusion and mood swings without losing myself along the way. I need to know how I can help him without making things worse...
I don't want to lose him... he is my best friend and someone I care deeply about. How do I help the situation if he doesn't want help and only wants to be alone. How do I listen to his words of asking me to stay away, but then listen to his words of asking to see me. I am caught between a rock and a hard place. I don't know what to do or which road to take.
Any advice would be helpful.... whether you have been through something like this or know someone who has. I just need some direction.... Thanks for reading my blog....
Movie
Well, I just got back from the movie but we ended up seeing Pineapple Express instead of Tropic Thunder because everyone kept telling us that it was really funny. I don't think it was that funny, dont get me wrong some parts of it where funny but I think I would have like to see Tropic Thunder more so we are going to go see it Thursday or Friday. I'll let you know how it is.

Movies!
Hey everyone! Tomorrow morning I'm gonna go see Tropic Thunder with my boyfriend. Everyone I know that has seen it told me that it was one of the funniest movies they have seen in a long time. Even my parents who went to see it yesterday said that it was hilarious. I'll let you guys know how it is tomorrow after I go see it.
No ice skating
So, we ended up not ice skating because the mall was EXTREMELY crowded and so was the ice skating rink and she didn't want to ice skate when there where so many people on the ice skating rink. So we decided to just shop, which was not a good idea, I spend way to much money, and to go ice skating on a less busy day, like when its not tax free weekend.
ICE SKATING!!!!!!!!
I am sooooo excited I haven't been ice skating since I was like 15, like 6 years ago. I finally talked on of my friends who has NEVER been ice skating to go with me. Its gonna be really funny though because I told her until she got comfortable ice skating she could use the little helper ice skating thing, that all the kids under like three use. I hope nobody laughs at her because she might actually hit them.
Tax Free Weekend
So, as everyone probably knows its tax free weekend theses weekend. I think I was like the only person who did not know because when I told people they all looked at me crazy because they could not believe that I did not know. I hate when it is tax free weekend because the malls are extremely busy, so I never go shopping when its tax free weekend. Well I went yesterday because I didn't know and I as standing in line for like 45 minutes waiting to check out at the Dillard's.
Mornin'
Good Morning Everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful day yesterday at all the different events we had going on. I really was looking forward to going to the events yesterday but yesterday when I woke up I was extremely sick and I still feel a little sick but not nearly as bad as I did yesterday. Well, I'm gonna lay down because thats the only time I don't feel like crap.

Don't know what to do with ME, pt. 3
I finally found something to do with ME. I decided to read one of my nursing books. I started to read the one on test taking and critical thinking. I know, that is said>: I can't even rest when I am out of school. I feel as if I should be doing school work. I promise I will try and do better, LOL. Well I going back reading and writing notes :( (sad). Talk to you later.
Olympics
Why is China trying to pass off an 11 year old and a 12 year old as being sixteen? Now experts are saying that the two smallest girls are younger than China is leading people to believe. Doctors are looking at bone structure and other physcial features that can prove that these girls are younger than the Chinese government is stating.Another thing, in all of my years of looking at the olympics, I don't every remember China winning so many gold medals (they have 26 gold medals so far). HUMMMMMMMMMM?
Mexican Food!
I am so excited I haven't had Mexican food in like two months because I have always been told tha it is the worst food for you to eat so I have been trying to stay away from Mexican food. I was sleeping, like I have been almost all day, and my friend called and said she was going to Don Teo's, which is one of my favorite mexican restaurants, and asked if I wanted to go. I got up and got dressed in like 10 minutes, its like a new record for me getting dressed. Whoever knew the quickest way to get me dressed would be to ask me if I wanted Mexican food?

What to do?
So, when you don't have a job and you don't have school, what is that best thing to do with your time? Today, I went up to the YMCA to say goodbye to all of my co-workers, and we actually ended up going up to North Harris because one of my friends was talking to me about how she had registered for classes but had not paid yet. From my STARS hours I had to tell her that she had to pay for her classes today or she would be dropped from them. So, I actually drove her up there so that she could pay for her classes and would not get dropped.
Don't know what to do with ME, pt 2
Don't know what to do with ME
Hi Guys,I am home alone and I don't know what to do. School is over, the daughter is at choir camp and I am restless. There is a lot of things I need to do around the house but don't want to, so I am going to remain restless. I want to go and wash my car but it looks like it's going to rain, that sucks. Maybe I will rent a movie, no, I know what I'm going to do. I am going to go and have lunch with my daughter for 12:00 noon and than stay and list to them sing. Do I want to hang around school and list to teenagers sing? Better question is does my daughter want me to hang out at school and cramp her style? I'll figure something out and blog about it later. Bye.
First day of not having a job in 5 years!
Hey Everyone! It is my first day of no work and no school for an entire week, and I woke up around 7:30 am. It sucks because I guess I am so used to having to get up early for either work or school, so my body is just used to waking up early. I'm still really tired but I can't sleep, and it really sucks! Does anybody know what I mean? Anywayz, I'm gonna go try to find something to keep me busy so that I am not bored all day!

Fastweb
Fastweb is a great website where one could get great information about scholarships, jobs, internships, and schools. I love surfing that website because is really good and it has some good articles that give many helpful tips to students. I constantly read the many articles they have because they are really helpful. So if anyone needs help with academics or scholarships just check out Fastweb.com
Plan
Well I went to UH and I found out some things about my classes and books. I really hope that I have enough money to cover all my expenses. Financial Aid is something that is very important for students who don't have the financial stability. I have financial aid and I am just so glad because school is getting more expensive as time passes by. I am just really glad I decided to go to North Harris for my first two years because it saved me a lot of money and all my classes were transferable. One very important tip I could give to any student who is seriously thinking about transferring to a four year school, is to always be aware and be seriously active in investigating what classes are transferable, and what institution one is thinking about transferring. Another good tip is to attend workshops and have a talk with any advisor in North Harris so one could have a plan and successfully transfer to any institution of one's choice. The advisers in North Harris are really nice and they are really helpful to anybody who ask for it. My best advice to any student who wants to succeed is to always have a plan. I still remember one phrase that a motivational speaker said to me and my CLI group which was "Have passion but always have a plan."
My fellow bloggers
Well is 11:14 and I just finish reading some of the blog entries other STARS have done. WoW they are really good blog entries and I liked them very much.
Good Night!
SO, its an end of another long day but I believe this one was longer than yesterday because its around 10pm and I just got home. SO, my friend went out and bought a new car because hers was going to cost $500 to fix, so instead she went out and bought a car that would give her a $500 car note every month. Anywayz, today was my last day of work (for a long time) and my last day of school(only for like a week), what will I do with my time....Anywayz, I'm really tired, Good Night everyone!
End of another Long Day!
So, I just got home from another LONG DAY! I actually think this is longest day though, its about 10pm and I just got home. I am soooo excited though, today was actually my last day at work and it was also my last day at school. SO, my friend went out and bought a new car just because hers was broke down. WHO DOES THAT! I never knew people actually just went out and bought new cars because their car needed to be fixed. It was only going to cost $500 but instead now she has a huge car note. Whatever, i guess its what she wanted to do and shes happy with her car.
OVER THE TOP.
I'm now getting closer to my graduation date. Looking forward to the fall semester. Fall is always alot of fun because they have the most activities going on out of any semester. This year is a very special year for me there is alot going on in the world that can effect me on the positive tip. For one I'm going to get my chance to vote in November. Also there adding new incentives to my G.I. Bill as well as a pay raise. 2008-2009 school year may very well be my most progressive year so far as I graduate with my Associates of Arts Degree. May 2009 I will finally get to call myself a college graduate.
This is all the news I have for right now. In all good speed stay strong, stay focus, and most of all stay up, dont let life get you down. Peace and God Bless.
A Star has Fallen
I just found out that one of our STARS have fallen from the sky. This person who will remain nameless (you know who you are Andrew, LOL), has not registered for classes as of yet:( Here we are two weeks before school starts and he is calling people about the very thing he hasn't done yet. Poor baby. He promises that he will get it completed today. Good luck on getting the classes you need and the times you want:)
OMG!!!!!
So, I agree with Karen this guy is really stupid, but she didn't put the link in her blog to go see it so I figured I would help her and you all out and just put the link on her so that you do not have to go find it!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fyk_xEhUzCU&feature=related
OMG!!!!!
Have you seen the video of the guy at Burger King taking a bath in the sink. Is he stupid or WHAT? How could you do something like that in front of people and even more outrageous, at work? If you guys haven't seen this video, please go to "Youtube" and watch it; it is unbelievable to watch and what's more unbelievable is that the manager is there and knows about what this guy is doing and does nothing about it. I am telling you, you have to see this video. SO GO WATCH IT!!!

Holla everyone!!
I'm excited about next week. We have camp Wanna Win and my husband will be home. I have not seen him in a month. He is coming home for my daughters birthday which is on Thursday, August 21, she will be 15. That week will be all about family, and Cherie of course! No school, no friends, no STARS hours (lol), just us.We will BBQ, go to the movies, play trivial game and just enjoy spending time with each other. I can't wait:0)
Holla Everyone!
So, it is way to cold in this office. I think i am going to get sick from going in and out because of how cold it is in the office and how warm it is outside, but I have to leave everyone now and then and go outside to warm my body up. I really need to remember to bring a sweater everyday that I come in to do STARS hours so that I am not ssssssoooooo cold!! Anywayz, hope everyones day is going well.....
Navy Bootcamp.
Good Morning.
Vital Check Off!!!
So, I just got done with my vitals-check off, and it deffinately was not as bad as I thought it would be, it was quick and was not painful at all. My blood pressure, respirations and pulse where really high though, the teacher asked me if I was nervous, and I was like of course, wouldn't you be. I shouldn't have been so nervous though. I am sooooo excited about starting classes in the fall and actually doing clinicals and going into the hospitals and working with patients. I hope everyone else did good on their finals, and check-offs if they had to do them today.
Good Morning
Good Morning!
Good Morning Everyone!!!! I figured I would get on and tell everyone good morning. Right now I'm getting ready to go do my vitals check-off (which I hope is not as stressful as I think it will be). Its so weird I thought that I would be really tired and grumpy this morning because of my long day yesterday and because I was up all last night because I had Starbucks at like 7:00 so I did not get any sleep, but I'm actually more awake then I have been all week. Anywayz, good luck everyone on your finals, I know you all will do wonderful!!!

Well I am thinking about how time goes by so fast. My best friend and I had a scrapbook for each year of high school and it makes me think how much a person changes throughout time. My best riedn and I were laughing the other night because it was so funny how we use write and what words we used and our daily dramas that is just so funny.
I love this joke:
Fun Things to Do at a Drive-Thru
1. Drive through the drive-thru in reverse and let your passenger order.
2. Ask the price of almost everything on the menu and then order something that you didn't ask the price for.
3. Tell the employee that your window is broken. Order and then pay with your door open. When the food comes, roll down the window and snatch your order from their hands.
4. Go to McDonald's and demand a big breakfast at 11:30 at night. Put up a fight.
5. Pay for a large order in pennies and nickels.
6. Order in another language. Be careful what neighborhood you're in.
7. When asked if they can take your order, tell them you are just window-shopping and drive on.
8. Laugh sadistically when asked if you would like ketchup.
9. Ask the cashier how they fit into that little box.
10. If they make you wait, make them wait when they come back on.
11. Demand to speak to the manager. When they come on, complain that you did not like the way the employee said, "May I take your order?"
12. When asked if they can take your order say, "Why, can I take yours?"
13. If they ask you to wait, order anyway and keep doing it till they yell at you.
14. Pretend your car has broken down. Ask for assistance moving it. When they come out, drive away.
15. Tell them you have to use the bathroom.
16. Order a cup of water and two napkins. That's it.
17. Don't order when they come on. Just sit there. If a line forms behind you, get out of the car and cause a scene.
18. When they hand you your food, hand them a bag with all the trash from your car in it.
19. Just stare at them when you pay and get your food. Don't break your stare.
20. Honk your horn the whole way through the line.

Classes
I have five classes ready for me in the fall. They are three in Political Science and two are in History...I guess I will have to get my Spanish classes in the Spring. I talk to my advisers in every field and they all told me that I will probably finish in two years and WOW! I am just really happy because I don't want to take a long time getting my degree. I am not getting any younger and I always felt that I am racing against time. I hate loosing time...but I am reasonable so after this summer vacation for sure I am hitting the books. I just know that I will be really proud of myself knowing that I finished school and I got two degrees with a minor in just two years. I know is not going to be easy but I willing to give it a try and do my best. My nightmare has always been that one day I will wake up and I am like 30yrs old and I haven't done anything with my life...that is just so scary that I don't want that to happen to me.
UH
Well I am just thinking about this new semester and I am really nervous...I don't know what to expect and i do recognize that I am a little rusty from my studies. I haven't had school since May and I have become a little lazy throughout this vacation. I just hope that I am much more suited and prepared to face school in August 25. I still dont know what I want out of life but I think I am the right steps in my life right now.... well if I am not I guess everybody deserves to make mistakes once in a while. Well I took a Spanish test to hopefully prove that I am really good in Spanish and thus get my bachelors in Spanish in one year or less and I am just really nervous because it was harder than I thought. Well I am really excited to attend my new school and I just can't wait to join organizations and clubs so I can experiece college life better.
A kick in the teeth
I just found out that a scholarship that I was awarded was taken away from me because I finally received my financial aid. The sad thing about it is that, the one they took away from me probably blocked me from getting the scholarship that I received last year. Talking about a kick in the teeth. I had a loooong good day, passed my test and come home to find out that I have lost a scholarship. That stinks!!!!! Oh well, what's a girl to do?
Book voucher will be available on Monday for those who signed up early. If you feel that it's not enough to purchase the books you need, speak up and let financial know right then and there. Well, I am tired and disgusted, so I am going to say good night. I still have to get up early in the morning to take my daughter to Kline HS for choir camp and make it back to NHC for 9:00 a.m. vital sign check offs. So, good night and way to go to everyone who went out to the different events today.

....
Well today I haven't been feeling really well. I am actually really dizzy and with a big pounding headache. I just know I have to do some blogging so I can get my mind straight and figure out all the things I have to do for tomorrow. Well I have to take my grandma to the hospital she hasn't been feeling good and we are all scare that it might have to do something with her heart. I have to also go to UH and buy my books or at least find out which I have to buy. For the first time in my life I am going to have to take an online class and I am kinda nervous just because I never done that before but hopefully everything goes well and I pass with flying colors.... I am just really nervous and excited to start in my new school because I just know for a fact that is going to be really different, but I guess I am ready for a change....I love changes.
Long Day...
WOW! Today was a long day for me. I went up to school at 8:00 am to get in some STARS hours before I took my test. I took my test, which I passed, and I am sooooo glad that we finally took it because I was stressing out over, even though I should not have been. It was not as bad as I thought it would be, I wish all the other nursing test would be that easy. I know they will not be though. I am stressing out over the vital signs check off tomorrow. Everyone I talked to today that already did their check-off told me not to worry about it because it was not that bad either. But I always stress out before a test or something big, which does not make it any easier on me. Then I did more STAR hours and I just got home like 30 minutes ago, at like 9:00opm. I got so tired today that I had Starbucks three times, so that I would not fall asleep and not be sooooo tired. Tomorrow is going to be just as busy because I am getting to school at 8:00am again and doing STAR hours, then doing my check-off, then more STAR hours till 2:00pm, then I have to go to work from 2:30 to 6:30. I can not wait until next week. I get a whole week of no school and no work!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!
Upps. I Forgot To Add This.
Did I mentioned how much I like to swim??? No?? OMG lolYeah i knew it!!. Well I am also a swimmer. I have been swimming for only a year. I tried out for school(Aldine Sr. High) and it turned out that I was a natural. Well I didn't knew nothing about swimming, not even one bit and I learned how to swim in my first day.
So yeah if there is also any one of ya interested of swimming let me know and we can also arange something as well.
ps. Before I forget I love dancing as well so any parties out there just let me know where to go, so we could raise the roof.
LOL
( uhm kay....)...
Tennis, Tennis, Tennis!!!!
I'm back with another blog. Well this time I'm here to blog about sports. Tennis to be more exact. LOL well here is a bit of info on my tennis. I have been playing tennis since the 10th grade and I played all through out high school (4 years which counts as 3 school years).I love playing tennis, because to me is such a physical demanding game. Tennis involves accuracy, precision, and some what of running.
If there is any one who would like to play tennis with me let me know, and we could arrange out a day. In addition, its not fun to play against the backboard, by your self and its really hard to find tennis players out there, so please if there is any one who would like to play don't hesitate and let me know.

Answers in the following article - no cheating now! GOOD LUCK!

.2) 1 hour. If you take a pill at 1 o'clock, then another at 1.30 and the last at 2 o'clock, they will be taken in 1

Restless in Texas
Hi everyone,How many of you get restless when you have a "BIG" test coming up? I know I should be studying right now, but I have the jitters. I feel as if I have had 5 cups of coffee. I know that I will be up until at least 1:00 a.m. studying and wake up tired in the morning. That's bad isn't it? Than I will really need those 5 cups of coffee.
I feel that I am ready on one hand, and not on the other. I don't want to over study because that's not good, you tend to go blank. I am just stressing and I know that I will be all right. Well, good night, I going to hit the books again. Good Luck to all those testing this week and study hard.
Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe is one of the saddest and more needy countries in the world. I just can't believe how much poverty and sadness could accumulate in such a small country. With one of the most lowest life expectancy and one of the highest inflation rate, Zimbabwe is facing very serious problems. When one actually thinks and finds out about Zimbabwe situation one cannot help but think how easy we have it in this country. We have many freedoms and such wealth that we are really lucky to have it.
GO ASTROS!!!!
Last night I went to the Astros game with some of my co-workers from the YMCA, we got free tickets from one of the field trips that we went on at Day Camp. We even had some of the kids from Day Camp go to the game and they sat with us while we watched most of the games while all of their parents sat together, its weird how different they are outside of camp. It was the first time I have gone to an Astros game in like two years. I really enjoy going to the Astros games and watching the Astros on TV but I never really knew the lingo for some of the stuff. The guys I was with kept making fun of me because I had to ask questions about what they where talking about. But anyways, the Astros beat San Francisco 3-1. We all had a lot of fun together. We all act really goofy and stupid so we all fit well together. I think I'm gonna start going to more Astros games!
I'm back!
Well-- everyone has been asking where I have been, and now I'm back! I have been moving from Dallas to Houston, transitioning with my new environment, family, friends, and taking my Basic Training class for Nursing School. I have been super super busy! I am excited to be home again, but it still takes awhile to get adjusted.I have a week and a half before my actual Nursing School begins and I still have so much to do. I still need to purchase some of my books, get the Internet set up at my house, get used to some form of schedule..... ahhhh... I just wish I could close my eyes and when they open, everything will be done and I'll be ready for school! lol
Anywho-- besides just getting adjusted and getting prepared for my next *Journey* in life, I am doing pretty good!
I look forward to taking my classes in class rather than online... I look forward to being more available at STAR events rather than just on weekends.... I also look forward to meeting new people at North Harris and broadening my horizon.
Overall-- Life is good-- Life is real good! :-)
I just hope to be able to keep this positive attitude along the way....
If not-- it's ok because I will blog about it and all of yall can put me right back on track! lol
Okie dokie-- I am definitely rambling now! I will talk to everyone soon!
PS--- Wish me luck on my Vital Signs test tomorrow! :-)
Nevermind
Summer Session II
I am almost done with my Human Anatomy and Physiology part 2 this summer and I am shooting for a 92. It is a cool class. I learned about the respiratory, digestive, urinary, reproductive, and lymphatic sytems in the body. I may have forgotten some, but ohh well. It feels good to become familiar with medical terminology and actually understand it. Most of the times I hear healthcare professionals or shows on t.v. talking about the human body, I listen carefully and try to see if I know what they are saying. Most of the time it is partially understood, but I got some knowledge in me. I am proud to complete my biology courses this summer and now it is time to prepare for the challenge ahead. But for now I will go on vacation this next week we have off. A gathering with friends, a day at the museum district with family, and an Astro's baseball game sounds just fine. See yall in the fall. Our Phone Calls Are Finish???
Good morning every one... well as I was walking in today I noticed that there was no list of phone calls that we needed to make. I thought to my self "could it really be???", "are we finish calling people???" and than I was like about time LOL Well it wasn't really fun doing 6-7 sheets of # or calling 364 people a day LOL( I did the math).
Well point is that I was happy, and than i was like noway i have to blog about this, and so i did( gosh is this starting to sound like a journal???) well I have to go now so ill be back later with some a bit more interesting to talk about.

Changes
Well is really hard to write about something right now...I guess that is why I always put jokes because they are really funny and it never hurts to laugh. Well just two more weeks and school starts, I am really nervous and I hope that I ready to take bigger and harder challenges that await me in the future. I am definitely going to miss North Harris is just like a school that gave me a lot good resources and definitely made me feel comfortable. Taking some time to relax is really important because it recharges ones batteries and everybody needs that. Now I need to get serious and start thinking about school but I am going to enjoy my last two weeks to the fullest. I know for a fact that the classes I chose are going to be hard and I am going to be really time consume by my studies so I need to enjoy my last bits of summer. Changes....I really like changes...I always think that changes are good and yes they are frightening but one cannot stop changes is something that it has to happen. Everything changes....friends, family, school, work... everything changes and sometimes one doesn't know why but I sometimes believe that somehow destiny is true. I love one saying that I read on my best friend's page and it says "Forget about the people who are in the past, there is a reason why they didn't make it to your future." I have a best friend....we met in 8th grade and until this point in my life she is still my best friend. Best friend is a word that many people use and sometimes that word losses its meaning. Finding true friends is really hard but I am really glad that I have some good friends in my life. I have a really good friend who is pregnant and is going to have a wonderful baby boy. I wish her the best but I just feel that she is so young to have a baby (20 yrs). I don't talk to her as often, before she got pregnant we use to hangout almost every single day but now she is living with her boyfriend and she is starting a family. I still remember when we graduated together...when we went together to prom as a group with other girls...when we started college together and carpool together. I guess we just took different paths and we are changing every single day.... now whenever I talk to her there is not a lot things we can talk about and is just so funny because we were really close but I guess everything changes.

Good Luck
Back Home
Good Morning
It's now 5:13 a.m. and I have been up for 45 minutes studying for my test. We had fun this weekend; it's always good when old friends can get together and just talk.I hope to see more deer today, hopefully this morning:) If I can and find out how, I will post some of my best deer pictures for you to see.
I do want to leave you with this thought this morning: Life is busy, harsh, and frustrating, but always make time, not take time (the concept of scheduling time vs. just fitting something in), out for relaxing, family and good friends. These are the things that will keep you going when you feel you can't.
Have a Great Morning!

Back to Nature
Hi guys,I am in Magnolia now and I got a chance to see something that few people in the city get to see. I got to see a mother deer and her two fawns in there natural habitat. I did get to take pictures of the family as they explore the neighborhood. Talk about up and personal with nature. I hope to see more before I go home tomorrow.
Bone Tickler :)
I have this cat, that is 3 years old and she is a calico rescue cat. She is not very affectionate unless she want to be bothered with you or to play. She is the epitome of finicky; she doesn't like certain men, she's picky about what you feed her, she doesn't like to be held by anyone --she tolerates me holding her be
